If you just recently picked up a 5th Gen 4Runner you can’t keep things stock for long, then these awesome examples will give you inspiration on your first mod or entire build…
Just like a lifted jeep cherokee, these 4Runners have huge aftermarket support which makes modifying them easy and hard at the same time
Here are ones that caught my eye:
Battle Ship Gray 4Runner

The naked roof look goes really well with the battleship gray color… Not to mention that c4 fab lo-pro front bumper and those crazy front fender flares!
Stormtrooper 4Runner

Those Icon Alloy wheels wouldn’t be my first choice but I think they look really good with the black and white color scheme. Paired with the Icon Stage 2 lift, they set the rig up pretty high
Lifted Quicksand 4Runner

The VTX wheels and firestones paired with the Dobinsons lift really sets this thing up nicely. Nothing crazy but still super capable. Again, it’s hard to go wrong with the c4 fab lo-pro
Stock Wheels

While still rocking the stock wheels, I think the Ecotechne low profile roof rack adds to the OEM Plus look… especially before the front bumper was installed lol. Looks awesome both ways
Blacked Out 4Runner

Carrying on with the OEM plus look is this super cool black 5th gen. In my opinon, these 4Runners should come from the factory looking like this!
Rolling 4Runner

Don’t let that awesome photography fool you, it looks just as good sitting still as it does rolling down the highway! The rotiform wheels couldn’t make these 4Runners any cleaner
Modded To The Max

In true overland fashion, this TRD Pro is heavily modified. That C4 Fab rear bumper / tire carrier paired with the rooftop tent makes this thing ready for anything
Mud On White

The orange light bars on the roof rack look too cool against the white color of this 4Runner… not to mention those orange MaxTrax. This one’s running a Toytec lift and also has a Magnuson supercharger. I bet it sounds awesome
Lifted 4Runner

I might be eating my words here, but the orange light bar behind the grille on this one looks sick too! I guess they look good with any color lol. A lift with VTX wheels is always a good route
Calvary 4Runner

This 5th gen is another great example of a super clean OEM plus look. The TMT4x4 roof rack and the RSG offroad sliders look great against the blue
Snorkel 4Runner

This one speaks for itself… Front the massive front bumper to the roof rack and rear bumper / tire carrier, this is a complete build! Not to mention all the suspension work. This thing is crazy
Blue & Gold 5th Gen

The color of those gold method racing wheels against the dark blue looks amazing. The wheel and tire combo paired with the Pure Performance lift sets this thing up nicely
Army Green 5th Gen

The army green color with all the black accessories makes this lifted 4Runner seem like it should be offroad 24/7. I guess when you have a Front Runner Outfitters rooftop tent you probably could be
Simple & Clean 4Runner

By now, I’m sure you’ve noticed I think every color on a 5th gen looks good… This one is no exception. This color really stands out on the road and you know it’s a Toyota the second you see it
Overland 4runner

While not as crazy as the previous rig, this one would still be able to keep up no problem. Not to mention, it could probably stay off road for a while too
5th Gen 4Runner

Like the other white rig on the list, you already know I’m a sucker for the orange light bars with this color. I think the Stealth Custom Series wheels just make it even cleaner
One Comm

This 5th gen really stands out with the crazy throwback Toyota wrap. It looks great clean but its even cooler to see after hitting the mud
Hefty Fab Works Bumper

Last but not least is this beast of a 5th Gen. I think the Hefty Fabworks front bumper is what makes it look so mean and sets it apart from many of the other 4Runners
